The extreme rarity of a calendar Grand Slam, with no male player achieving it since Rod Laver in 1969, drives the overwhelming trader consensus toward no one succeeding in 2026. Carlos Alcaraz's recent Australian Open victory completed his career Grand Slam and positions him as the strongest contender entering the clay swing, yet the physical demands of consecutive high-stakes events across hard courts, clay, grass, and hard courts again create significant barriers, compounded by consistent competition from players like Jannik Sinner. Recent form shows Alcaraz excelling on multiple surfaces, but injury risks, recovery challenges, and the depth of the ATP tour make sweeping all four majors highly improbable. Scenarios that could shift this dynamic include an injury-free run through Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open, or unexpected early exits by top rivals that alter momentum.
