The Asuncion 2 ATP Challenger doubles match on clay pits the Brazilian-Paraguayan pairing of Gustavo Ribeiro de Almeida and Hernando Jose Escurra Isnardi against locals Lautaro Britez Risso and Axel Santillan Nunez Vera. Home-soil advantage and familiarity with Paraguayan clay conditions favor the Britez/Nunez duo, who benefit from local support and recent circuit experience in the region. De Almeida, a 20-year-old prospect with junior success and improving doubles pedigree, adds upside to the visiting side alongside Escurra’s established ITF/Challenger presence. Early-round scheduling and typical Challenger variability in form and pairings shape trader views, with surface-specific tactics and partnership chemistry likely proving decisive.
