The Valencia Challenger doubles clash features Brazilian pair Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos against Dutch duo Sander Arends and David Pel on outdoor clay. Arends and Pel enter with strong recent momentum after advancing through the draw, including a quarterfinal victory, leveraging their combined experience from multiple ATP titles and higher career doubles rankings near the top 50. Luz and Matos counter with Rafael Matos’s proven net skills and Orlando Luz’s steady baseline game, fresh off appearances at the ATP Rome Masters. Limited head-to-head history leaves surface-specific factors prominent, as clay rewards consistent returns, movement, and endurance over power. No late withdrawals or injuries have been reported, keeping focus on serve hold percentages and break-point conversion in what shapes as a closely contested encounter.
