Jaime Faria enters the Nottingham 2 Challenger first-round grass-court matchup as the clear market favorite against Moez Echargui, reflecting his superior recent form and ranking trajectory. The 22-year-old Portuguese player sits at world No. 94 after reaching the third round at Roland Garros and posting multiple wins on clay leading into the grass swing. Echargui, ranked No. 142 at age 33, arrives with a string of recent losses and limited success on faster surfaces. Head-to-head history is minimal, but Faria’s stronger serve, movement, and experience against higher-level competition create a substantial edge. Grass-court adaptation, rest from the European swing, and any late fitness updates remain the primary variables that could influence trader sentiment ahead of the June 15 start.
