Bulgaria’s surprise victory at the 2026 contest has already shifted early trader focus toward 2027 participation markets, as the host broadcaster BNT begins preparations and several public-service broadcasters race to lock in their spots. North Macedonia’s return after a five-year absence and fresh confirmations from Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, and Germany have reinforced expectations of a stable core lineup, while ongoing talks around Slovakia’s potential comeback and Kosovo’s renewed EBU bid introduce volatility. National selection windows opening this summer, combined with typical patterns of last-minute withdrawals tied to funding or political issues, will likely drive the next wave of market movement ahead of the full participant list.
