Spider-Man: Brand New Day leads market-implied odds for 2026’s biggest opening week after delivering a record $360 million domestic debut weekend in late July, the largest three-day start in history and well ahead of Toy Story 5’s earlier $160 million benchmark. Its strong presales, premium-format performance, and early global momentum established it as the frontrunner among 2026 releases. Avengers: Doomsday trails closely at 41.5% on the strength of surging December presales that already top prior MCU benchmarks and point to a potential $260–300 million domestic opening. The holiday tentpole’s ensemble cast and marketing push keep it competitive, though its December timing leaves more room for variables than the already-completed Spider-Man launch. Lower-probability titles remain distant due to smaller historical openings in their respective slots.
