Mercedes' substantial points lead in the 2026 Constructors' Championship, built through victories in the opening six rounds and consistent scoring from drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, underpins the overwhelming trader consensus. Recent results show rivals closing the gap via more frequent aerodynamic and power unit upgrades, with McLaren securing consecutive wins and Ferrari gaining ground, though Mercedes has conserved resources under the cost cap for a major late-season package targeting the flyaway races. This positions the Silver Arrows as favorites while highlighting risks such as further development shortfalls, reliability setbacks, or stronger performances from Ferrari and McLaren in the remaining events that could narrow the gap.
