Rising component costs, particularly TSMC’s 2nm process and elevated memory prices, are driving expectations that Apple will increase iPhone 18 Pro pricing for the September 2026 launch. Recent analyst reports, including from Jeff Pu and The Wall Street Journal, point to a $250–300 hike, potentially lifting the starting price to $1,349–$1,399 from the prior $1,099. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reinforces that price increases are certain, estimating $100–200, consistent with recent Mac and iPad adjustments. Apple is pursuing cost optimizations like in-house modems to limit the impact. The September 9 keynote and subsequent pre-order window represent the key near-term catalysts that could clarify final pricing amid ongoing supply-chain pressures.
