A Pete Dye layout, stroke-play format with no cut, and high stakes for season standings create parity among established names such as Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Joaquin Niemann, and Tyrrell Hatton alongside consistent performers like Sebastián Muñoz and Harold Varner III. Recent groupings highlight stacked early waves, while the event's role in finalizing individual and team titles amplifies the impact of any opening-round momentum shifts without favoring one contender.
