The Atlanta Braves enter this three-game home series at Truist Park holding the best record in the NL at 46-25 and leading the East by 7.5 games, while the Giants sit at 29-43 and trail by 16.5 in the West. Atlanta’s depth has sustained momentum despite key absences, including Ronald Acuña Jr. (hamstring) and Spencer Strider (elbow inflammation that has sidelined him for at least four weeks), with rookie JR Ritchie stepping into the Wednesday rotation. San Francisco’s own bullpen and rotation injuries, including Keaton Winn and Matt Gage, compound a season-long offensive and pitching inconsistency. For the June 17 matchup, Ritchie’s 3.82 ERA lines up against veteran left-hander Robbie Ray (4.42 ERA), a spot where the Braves’ home advantage and superior run differential have shaped trader consensus around a strong favorite outcome.
