Recent developments in the light heavyweight division have kept the market for Carlos Ulberg’s next opponent tightly contested. The new champion’s first title defense remains unscheduled following his first-round knockout of Jiri Prochazka at UFC 327, leaving multiple ranked contenders available. Paulo Costa’s recent head-kick finish over Azamat Murzakanov has boosted his visibility, while Magomed Ankalaev’s prior championship experience and Jan Blachowicz’s draw with Bogdan Guskov sustain interest despite Blachowicz’s knee surgery ruling him out of UFC 328. Guskov’s active status and willingness to step in add further uncertainty. With no official booking or confirmed injury status for Ulberg, the closely bunched probabilities reflect the division’s fluid landscape and the absence of a clear frontrunner.
