Dricus Du Plessis’s recent unanimous-decision win over Kamaru Usman at UFC Oklahoma City has sharpened focus on his next middleweight matchup, with the division’s depth creating a crowded field of plausible opponents. Sean Strickland sits as the nominal frontrunner in trader pricing after two prior losses to Du Plessis, while Nassourdine Imavov’s strong recent form and positioning for a title opportunity keep him competitive. Khamzat Chimaev’s reported injury setbacks and stated preference for other bouts have tempered his odds despite the prior title-fight history. Additional contenders such as Gregory Rodrigues have issued public call-outs, and the UFC’s typical matchmaking flexibility in a stacked 185-pound division—factoring rest, rankings, and potential interim or title implications—has left multiple outcomes bunched closely together in implied probability.
