Hugo Dellien enters this Roland Garros qualifying opener against Sean Cuenin with a clear edge in ranking and clay-court experience, holding the No. 139 spot and a career high of No. 64 while posting strong recent results on the surface in Challenger events. The 32-year-old Bolivian excels in extended baseline rallies typical of French Open clay, where his consistency and return game have yielded solid win percentages against similar opposition. Cuenin, a 22-year-old Frenchman ranked No. 381, has posted strong ITF-level results this season but faces a step up in competition depth. With no prior head-to-head meetings, the first-set intensity and Dellien’s ability to handle the slower conditions on outside courts will likely shape early momentum in this best-of-three encounter.
