Felix Gill enters the Roland Garros qualifying first round as the clear favorite against Aziz Dougaz on the red clay of Court 5, driven by a 400-point ranking gap and stronger recent results on the surface. The 23-year-old Briton has posted multiple wins in 2026 while Dougaz, at 29, has struggled with consistency and holds a losing record in his past 11 outings across all surfaces. First-time meeting means no head-to-head data, but Gill’s superior movement and baseline game align well with the slow, high-bouncing conditions that define French Open qualifying. Weather and any late fitness updates remain the main variables that could shift momentum on match day.
