Jannik Sinner enters the Internazionali BNL d’Italia final against Casper Ruud as the clear favorite on Rome’s red clay, seeking to complete the Career Golden Masters and become the first Italian champion there since 1976. Sinner arrives after a three-set semifinal victory over Daniil Medvedev, downplaying any physical concerns from the match and a rain delay. He holds a perfect 4-0 head-to-head record against Ruud, including a 6-0, 6-1 quarterfinal win in last year’s Rome event, and has never dropped a set to the Norwegian. Ruud reaches his first Rome final after a strong run capped by a semifinal win over Luciano Darderi, but faces a significant stylistic and historical challenge against the world No. 1’s baseline consistency and movement.
