Both the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins enter their three-game series at Target Field with sub-.500 records and early-season inconsistency defining their 2026 campaigns. The Astros arrive after a recent win over the Rangers but continue navigating significant roster challenges, including Carlos Correa’s season-ending ankle surgery and Josh Hader’s expected absence until late May. Minnesota’s rotation has also been thinned by multiple injuries, with Taj Bradley on the 15-day IL and other starters managing day-to-day status. Recent form shows both clubs posting mixed results in their last ten games, while head-to-head history and home/away splits at Target Field could influence momentum. Pitching matchups featuring arms like Spencer Arrighetti and Joe Ryan, combined with lineup health and bullpen reliability, remain central variables for traders assessing series outcomes.
