The Mets (29-36/38) enter the three-game series at Great American Ball Park as the road underdog, sitting last in the NL East amid a rash of injuries that includes Francisco Lindor (calf), Kodai Senga (spine/arm), Jorge Polanco (ankle), and Tyrone Taylor (hip). Cincinnati (31-34/35) holds a slight home edge despite its own absences, notably Elly De La Cruz (hamstring, targeting mid-to-late June return) and several relievers. Both clubs are well below .500 with subpar recent form—the Reds recently dropped five straight—while pitching matchups and bullpen depth will heavily influence outcomes in what projects as a competitive, low-scoring set between two injury-thinned NL clubs.
