Early in the 2026-27 Scottish Premiership season, Celtic sit clear at the top after a flawless domestic start, leaving a wide-open contest for runner-up among a cluster of clubs. Rangers have gained momentum under Derek McInnes with a strong recent run and key summer additions, positioning them as the most immediate threat, while Hearts maintain competitiveness despite losing influential personnel from their prior second-place finish. Mid-table sides including Aberdeen, Hibernian, Dundee, and St Mirren have mixed results but remain in striking distance through home form and fixture rotations. With only a handful of matchweeks completed, limited separation in the standings and variable early results keep implied probabilities tightly grouped across the field.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Scottish Premiership for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Scottish Premiership (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Scottish Premiership; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
