**Multiple proven returners and transfers create a wide-open race for the 2026 Big 12 receiving touchdowns lead, reflected in the market's tight clustering around 36–50% implied probabilities for top candidates like Amare Thomas, Jordan Dwyer, Omarion Miller, and a long list of others.** Amare Thomas enters as a consensus preseason favorite after leading or near-leading the conference in 2025 with 66–67 receptions, 966–972 yards, and 12 touchdowns for Houston, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors while building chemistry with quarterback Conner Wiegman. Jordan Dwyer (TCU) and Omarion Miller (now at Arizona State after a strong Colorado year of ~8 TDs) follow closely, backed by prior big-play production and featured roles amid quarterback transitions. Other names like Kenny Johnson (Texas Tech), Terrance Carter Jr. (TE, Texas Tech), and transfers such as Danny Scudero or Braden Pegan add depth, as teams reload via the portal and feature spread offenses with multiple viable red-zone options. Early 2026 results, including Thomas's opening-game output, and factors like target share, red-zone usage, offensive line play, and schedule difficulty will drive separation. The bunched pricing captures this parity and the inherent unpredictability of a full conference season.
