Their opponents, Croatian wild cards Vid Maric and Luka Mikrut, also progressed comfortably in their opening match against Grevelius and Heinonen, drawing on home-soil familiarity and local support on the slower surface. With no prior head-to-head record between the pairs, the contest hinges on net play, return effectiveness, and how each duo adapts to clay-court rallies, where rest and recent momentum could prove decisive.
