Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" commands near-certain market consensus for the Billboard Hot 100 dated the week of August 29 because the country crossover hit has already logged 19 weeks at No. 1 as of the latest chart, matching the longest non-holiday reigns in Hot 100 history and rewriting records for female artists. Sustained streaming, radio airplay, and sales momentum—bolstered by its February debut and repeated ascents—have created an insurmountable lead that newer Ariana Grande tracks from the Petal era and other Langley singles have not displaced. Traders see limited realistic upset paths, such as an unprecedented late surge from a competing release or a sudden drop in consumption metrics, though historical chart patterns show such reversals are rare once a title reaches this dominance level.
