This market will resolve according to the individual who wins the CA-14 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).Aisha Wahab leads the CA-14 House race at 82.5% implied probability as the frontrunner for the November general election, following her certified victory in the August 18 special election runoff against Melissa Hernandez. Wahab captured roughly 53% of the vote after advancing from both June primaries with double-digit margins, entering November as the incumbent with established name recognition and Democratic Party support in the heavily Democratic East Bay district. Heavy outside spending, including millions from AIPAC-backed groups favoring Hernandez, narrowed the special election gap on election night but failed to overcome Wahab’s grassroots organization. Hernandez, a BART board president and former Dublin mayor, remains the main challenger at 16% amid the rematch dynamics, though structural advantages for the sitting representative and typical late-mail ballot patterns in California have solidified trader consensus around Wahab’s position ahead of the full-term contest.
