Aaron Ford holds a commanding 91% implied probability of carrying Clark County in the November 2026 Nevada gubernatorial election, reflecting the county's consistent Democratic lean in statewide contests and Ford's strong primary performance there as the sitting attorney general. Incumbent Republican Joe Lombardo, a former Clark County sheriff, trails at 9.5% amid a closely contested statewide race rated as a toss-up by multiple forecasters, with recent July polling showing the candidates nearly even or with Lombardo holding a modest edge overall. Key drivers include Ford's name recognition in the Las Vegas metro area, Democratic voter concentration, and campaign focus on affordability issues. Late developments such as shifts in turnout among independents, economic messaging, or national political tailwinds could still narrow the gap in this population-heavy county before Election Day.
