Tomáš Portlík leads trader consensus in the indirect mayoral selection following the October 9-10, 2026, municipal elections because SPOLU (ODS-TOP 09) assembled a candidate list dominated by sitting district mayors and prioritized concrete local issues such as housing construction, transport coordination, and school capacity. This organizational depth and Portlík’s record as Prague 9 mayor have consolidated support among traders assessing coalition-building potential in the new council. Petr Hlaváček (STAN) trails as the outgoing coalition’s representative, while Adam Scheinherr, Tereza Nislerová, Václav Láska, and Jan Hušbauer reflect fragmented opposition slates with narrower bases. The tight positioning among lower-probability contenders stems from uncertainty over post-election negotiations, where no single party is projected to secure a majority and historical patterns favor experienced local networks in forming the next administration.
