This market will resolve to "Yes" if any single lot is sold at public auction for an all-in price (inclusive of buyer's premium) of at least $150 million at a major auction house between market creation and December 31, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purposes of this market, a major auction house will be one of the following: Sotheby's. Christie's, or Phillips. If no such lot is reported by December 31, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve according to the official post-sales results as published on each auction house's official website. If the resolution source becomes permanently unavailable or no qualifying report is released by December 31, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "No".Recent high-end auction results, including the Jackson Pollock *Number 7A* realizing $181.2 million in May and the earlier Gustav Klimt *Portrait of Elisabeth Lederer* at $236.4 million, have established that nine-figure hammer prices remain achievable when trophy works from marquee collections reach the block. However, the market-implied odds slightly favoring “No” reflect a thinner pipeline of comparable lots scheduled for the second half of 2026, with fewer guaranteed $50 million-plus estimates confirmed for the November and December sales cycles. Traders are also weighing the art market’s post-2025 rebound concentration at the very top tier, where buyer pools for eight-figure-plus works remain selective and sensitive to economic signals or collection dispersal timing. Upcoming catalysts include the fall evening sales at Christie’s, Sotheby’s, and Phillips, plus any last-minute private-treaty announcements that could still push a fresh record before year-end.
