The left-hander arrives after a three-set victory over Christopher O’Connell in the opening qualifying round, maintaining solid recent form on the surface. Remy Bertola, currently ranked near No. 199 following his career-high mark earlier in 2026, countered a straight-sets loss to advance past Shintaro Mochizuki and will look to leverage his right-handed game and recent title-winning experience at lower levels. Both players face the typical demands of a best-of-three qualifier on the slow, high-bouncing Parisian courts, where endurance and consistency often decide progression to the main draw.
