The Belgian brings a stronger ATP-level record against higher competition this season despite an uneven 2026 overall mark, while Australian qualifier James McCabe arrives with a solid 23-14 year-to-date ledger built primarily on lower-tier events and strong qualifying wins here. With no prior head-to-head, the outcome hinges on grass-court serve effectiveness, return consistency under quick conditions, and how each player handles pressure points in their first ATP main-draw clash. Bergs’ surface familiarity and ranking edge shape trader consensus, though McCabe’s recent momentum adds realistic upset potential on the fast indoor/outdoor grass.
