This marks their first ATP head-to-head, pitting Rublev's powerful baseline game and Madrid altitude-suited offense against Kopriva's gritty qualifier run, highlighted by a straight-sets first-round upset of Lorenzo Sonego. Kopriva, ranked No. 66 with a 10-7 record this year including Munich quarterfinals, relies on clay resilience but faces Rublev's superior rankings, surface history, and recent form; no injuries or withdrawals reported ahead of the Stadium 3 clash.
