Sinner's elite serving and improved clay form—boasting a 6-2 lifetime record here—position him strongly, especially with Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic absent, opening the draw. Bonzi, ranked No. 104, advanced via a grueling three-set R1 win over compatriot Titouan Droguet (6-7(4), 7-6(4), 6-4), showcasing resilience but facing an 3-0 head-to-head deficit. Recent fitness updates confirm Sinner's readiness post-minor concerns, while Bonzi's qualifier fatigue and stylistic matchup against Sinner's baseline power tilt trader consensus heavily toward the Italian. Key watch: early breaks amid variable Madrid conditions.
