The 23-year-old American brings more ATP-level experience and a stronger recent win rate on clay, while the 22-year-old German relies on solid Challenger results but faces a significant step up in competition. This first career meeting takes place on outdoor red clay at the Club de Genève, where both players have shown comfort on the slower surface, though Svajda’s higher baseline consistency and return game give him the edge in extended rallies. Recent form favors the higher-ranked player despite some inconsistent results earlier in the season, while Rehberg will look to capitalize on any early breaks or fatigue from Svajda’s schedule. The outcome hinges on first-serve percentages and break-point conversion in what projects as a competitive opening-round qualifier.
