Arthur Fery holds a slight edge over Elias Ymer in this Roland Garros qualifying first-round clash on red clay, driven by his higher current ranking and stronger recent results in higher-level events. The 23-year-old Briton brings recent main-draw experience from the Australian Open, including a notable win over Flavio Cobolli, while the 30-year-old Swede has focused more on Challenger-level play and enters after mixed hard-court outings. Their limited head-to-head favors Fery from a prior encounter, though the shift to clay could reward Ymer’s greater experience on the surface and steady baseline game. No significant injury concerns have surfaced for either player ahead of the May 19 matchup, leaving recent form and adaptation to the slow, high-bouncing conditions as the primary variables that could influence the outcome.
