**Earrings by Malcolm Todd holds the strongest position for #2 on the US Spotify weekly chart heading into the September 4 resolution, with consistent weekly streams around 7.5 million placing it firmly behind Ella Langley’s Choosin’ Texas.** Recent data from late August shows Earrings maintaining second place on the US weekly chart (week of August 27), supported by ongoing TikTok virality that drove a 2026 radio push and sustained audience engagement after its earlier breakthrough. Olivia Rodrigo’s tracks from her 2026 album *you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love*—particularly “stupid song” and “the cure”—sit in the mid-top 10 with solid but split streaming volume, keeping them in contention without overtaking the frontrunner. Tame Impala’s “Loser” and Steve Lacy’s “oh yeah?” also register competitive weekly totals near 6.3–6.5 million, reflecting steady catalog or recent momentum, while Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and “9 to 5” have seen short-term daily spikes but lower weekly aggregates. Trader consensus reflects these streaming trajectories and the lack of major new releases or viral shifts likely to reorder the top tier before the chart locks. Historical patterns of mid-chart stability for established tracks like Earrings further reinforce the current market-implied odds.
