Jannik Sinner commands the 2026 French Open market as the clear frontrunner, driven by his dominant clay-court form this season and the absence of two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, who withdrew with a right wrist injury. Sinner has compiled a 15-0 record on clay, capturing titles in Monte Carlo and Madrid while extending a historic Masters 1000 winning streak. Alexander Zverev sits second thanks to his strong clay pedigree and current world ranking, though he trails Sinner significantly in recent head-to-head results. Novak Djokovic remains a distant third at age 39, relying on his four-time Roland Garros experience and recent resilience, but faces questions about physical durability on the slower surface. Younger contenders like Arthur Fils and Rafael Jodar occupy long-shot positions, reflecting limited proven results at this level against the established elite.
