This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Peru Liga 1 for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Peru Liga 1 for the 2026 season per the rules of Peru Liga 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Peru Liga 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight clustering of probabilities around 43% across nearly two dozen teams reflects a wide-open Liga 1 field midway through the 2026 campaign, with the Apertura and ongoing Clausura producing no dominant side and an aggregate table still fluid enough that several clubs remain in realistic contention for second place. Traditional powers Alianza Lima, Universitario, Sporting Cristal, and FBC Melgar sit alongside in-form sides such as Los Chankas, Cusco FC, Cienciano, and Deportivo Garcilaso, while promoted sides like UTC Cajamarca and Deportivo Moquegua add further parity. The playoff format—where the runner-up is often settled among the top aggregate finishers—amplifies uncertainty, as late surges, head-to-head results, and fixture congestion can quickly reshuffle positions. Trader consensus therefore prices a genuinely competitive race rather than anointing clear favorites.
