This market will resolve according to the player that finishes Round 1 of the main tournament at the 2026 TOUR Championship with the lowest cumulative score to par. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the player with the lower score on the back 9 of the first round. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player that records more eagles thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player who records more birdies thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player who records fewer bogeys thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 TOUR Championship is cancelled, postponed after September 12, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if an official Round 1 leader has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the event organizer or governing body. The 2026 TOUR Championship field of 30 FedEx Cup qualifiers arrives at East Lake Golf Club with tightly bunched first-round leader probabilities around 50%, reflecting the inherent volatility of 18-hole scoring among top players. Recent BMW Championship results highlight strong recent form from Wyndham Clark, Rory McIlroy, and Collin Morikawa, yet East Lake’s demanding layout—emphasizing accuracy off the tee, approach play, and putting—combined with typical Atlanta late-August conditions produces wide outcome variance. Historical patterns show first-round leaders frequently emerging from mid-tier qualifiers rather than outright favorites, keeping implied probabilities compressed across names like Scottie Scheffler, Ludvig Åberg, Xander Schauffele, and longer shots such as Jacob Bridgeman or Alex Smalley. No single player holds a decisive edge entering the opener.
