Trader consensus positions Aryna Sabalenka as the clear US Open favorite with her world No. 1 ranking and unmatched 2026 hard-court dominance, including the Sunshine Double at Indian Wells and Miami plus a 26-2 record, though her early Rome exit to Sorana Cirstea underscores clay vulnerabilities irrelevant to Flushing Meadows' hard courts. Elena Rybakina trails closely after capturing the Australian Open title and Stuttgart, bolstering her No. 2 status with a 27-6 mark and strong Madrid run past Qinwen Zheng. Iga Swiatek lags amid a title-less season (14-8), hampered by losses like Stuttgart quarters to Mirra Andreeva, as her clay prowess translates less to hard-court Grand Slams. Rising Canadian Victoria Mboko's 10.4% share reflects breakout deep runs at AO fourth round, Indian Wells quarters, and Doha final, signaling high-upside potential on her preferred surface.
