Jonny Clayton enters this New Zealand Darts Masters quarter-final as the heavy trader favorite at an 89.5% implied probability, reflecting his strong 2026 Premier League campaign where he topped the table and posted consistent high-checkout performances against elite opposition. The Welshman’s experience on the World Series circuit, including prior success Down Under, contrasts with Gian van Veen’s more recent debut on the overseas stage despite the Dutchman’s higher world ranking and strong domestic results. Head-to-head encounters this year have been tight, often decided by late doubles, yet Clayton’s proven adaptability to travel, schedule demands, and varying conditions underpins the market’s assessment of his edge in this matchup.
