Mercedes leads the 2026 Formula 1 constructors' championship after the opening rounds, including the Miami Grand Prix, with a substantial points advantage built on consistent front-running pace and victories from drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. The Silver Arrows' strong performance stems from superior integration of the new power unit regulations with chassis handling, creating a clear edge over rivals. McLaren has narrowed the gap to Ferrari through recent podium results, while Red Bull and others trail further behind amid adaptation challenges to the updated technical rules. Trader consensus in the market reflects this early-season dominance and the difficulty for chasing teams to close the deficit quickly.
