This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team finishes 2nd (runner-up) in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition final phase. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Toluca leads the Apertura 2026 standings after nine matchweeks with 19 points, yet América and Guadalajara sit just behind on 17 and 18 points respectively, keeping the race for second place highly competitive. Recent results including the 2-2 Clásico Nacional draw, Toluca’s 2-3 loss to Santos Laguna, and Monterrey’s 1-0 win over Cruz Azul have prevented any team from pulling clear. Squad depth, goal-scoring form from players like Miguel Borja, and a congested fixture list through late September sustain the tight trader consensus around the top three sides while limiting separation for Monterrey, Cruz Azul, and the chasing pack.
