Monaco secured the Ligue 1 spot for the UEFA Conference League play-off round by finishing seventh in the 2025–26 standings. Lens’s Coupe de France victory redistributed European places, moving the Europa League berth to sixth-placed Rennes and sending the Conference League play-off to Monaco instead of the cup winners. The Principality side enter the two-legged qualifier against Górnik Zabrze on August 20 and 27 while dealing with squad absences and coaching transition under Filipe Luís. No other Ligue 1 club can claim this allocation, as final table positions and cup outcomes have locked the qualification pathway.
