An incoming Pacific storm system is driving cooler, breezy conditions across western Washington, with south winds, widespread rain, and cloud cover expected to limit nighttime radiative cooling and hold Seattle's September 3 low near or slightly below the 55°F climatological average. Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and private models currently cluster overnight lows in the low-to-mid 50s, reflecting model consensus on the storm's timing and intensity while acknowledging typical forecast spread from variable precipitation and wind gusts. Trader emphasis on the 52–55°F bins aligns with this evidence-based range, tempered by historical precedent that sub-50°F readings remain uncommon this early in September absent stronger cold-air advection. Updated model runs ahead of the event will provide the next key data points for refining probabilities.
