Alex Smalley holds the lead after three rounds at Aronimink Golf Club, but the 2026 PGA Championship remains tightly bunched because multiple contenders sit within striking distance heading into the final round. Jon Rahm, Ludvig Aberg, and Rory McIlroy occupy the next spots in implied probability, reflecting their consistent major form, recent ball-striking gains, and ability to post low scores on this classic Pennsylvania layout. Scottie Scheffler’s earlier stumbles have opened the door for the group immediately behind, while players like Xander Schauffele and Nick Taylor stay relevant through steady positioning and strong course management. The wisdom of crowds prices this as a wide-open finish, with any late surge or steady par-making round capable of shifting momentum among the top dozen.
