The pair trades near 159 amid a still-wide interest-rate differential that supports dollar strength, yet forecasts from major banks span 150-164, reflecting uncertainty over the pace of BOJ normalization, potential Fed easing, inflation trajectories, and global risk sentiment. Recent yen stabilization and moderating structural outflows add to the contest, while upcoming CPI releases, labor data, and central-bank communications through year-end remain the primary catalysts that could shift the market-implied distribution.
