In the first quarter of 2026, the bank recorded a $1.3 billion provision, below both the prior-year $1.5 billion and analyst estimates, with net charge-offs at $1.4 billion and a 48 basis point loss rate that declined year-over-year as delinquencies and nonperforming loans eased.
