West Indies Women enter their Group 2 clash against Sri Lanka Women on June 21 at Bristol carrying momentum from a dramatic last-over upset of defending champions New Zealand, powered by Shemaine Campbelle’s unbeaten 90. Sri Lanka have also posted strong recent results, including a five-wicket chase of New Zealand and consistent T20 form led by captain Chamari Athapaththu’s all-round contributions. Both sides feature experienced T20 campaigns in England conditions, where pitch pace and bounce could influence power-hitting and death bowling. Recent bilateral encounters have favored Sri Lanka, yet West Indies’ improved fielding and middle-order depth add unpredictability to the contest. Trader focus centers on current tournament form, key all-rounders, and any late injury updates ahead of the fixture.
