Germany enters the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group E as the clear frontrunner after a dominant 6-1 opening victory over debutants Curaçao on June 14, extending their strong qualification form under Julian Nagelsmann. The four-time champions feature a balanced squad blending veterans like Manuel Neuer with attacking talents such as Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, giving them superior depth and experience against Ecuador, Ivory Coast, and Curaçao. Ecuador maintains a lengthy unbeaten streak and solid South American qualifying pedigree, supporting its second-place standing in trader pricing, while Ivory Coast's athleticism offers limited upset potential in a competitive group. Curaçao's heavy defeat underscores the gap to the established sides. These dynamics align with the current implied probabilities reflecting Germany's historical edge and recent results.
