National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models currently converge on an upper-80s high for Atlanta on August 30, with hourly point forecasts peaking near 89°F amid partly sunny skies, light southeast winds of 5–7 mph, and a 30–40% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. These conditions, combined with dew points around 71–73°F, are expected to cap peak heating close to the long-term average of 87°F at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Stable model runs over the past 48 hours show no significant shifts, though minor variations in cloud cover or storm timing could adjust the daily maximum by 1–2°F. Trader positioning reflects this consensus, favoring the 88–89°F and 86–87°F bins while assigning low probability to 90°F-plus outcomes. Final hourly observations from NOAA will determine resolution.
