Tamara Korpatsch holds momentum entering the Trophée Clarins WTA 125 round of 32 on Paris clay after a gritty 2-1 qualifying win over Ksenia Efremova, bolstering her 16-11 2026 record and No. 87 ranking. French wildcard Clara Burel, returning from a 13-month ACL knee injury layoff since spring 2025, seeks rhythm in her home event following sparse early-season results (0-3), with recent losses highlighting potential rust despite past clay prowess and a 1-0 head-to-head edge over Korpatsch (6-3, 5-7, 6-3 on Beijing hard in 2024). Traders weigh Burel's crowd support and surface familiarity against Korpatsch's sharper form, rest advantage post-qualifying, and stylistic matchup on outdoor clay.
