Bianca Andreescu enters this Roland Garros qualifying opener on clay with clear advantages in experience and recent form, having reached the fourth round in Rome last week with victories over multiple top-20 players while rebuilding after her 2025 appendectomy. The former US Open champion, now ranked near 137-160, brings proven Grand Slam-level pedigree and strong recent results on the surface. Her 17-year-old opponent, Daphnee Mpetshi Perricard, ranks outside the top 800 with limited WTA experience and no prior head-to-head history, though the French teenager receives a home-crowd boost and a wild-card entry at her home Slam. Traders reflect these gaps through heavy consensus on Andreescu, tempered by the inherent variability of qualifying matches and the young player's potential for rapid improvement on clay.
