Western Bulldogs hold a narrow 57% implied probability edge over Collingwood in their AFL wildcard final at the MCG, reflecting their eighth-place finish and momentum from a Round 24 victory over Melbourne. Recent form shows the Bulldogs with a win-draw-loss pattern that includes strong contested ball work and midfield depth led by Marcus Bontempelli, while Collingwood endured a heavy loss to Brisbane and sits ninth after a mixed stretch. Key injuries complicate the matchup: Western Bulldogs ruck Tim English remains sidelined with a knee issue, limiting stoppage dominance, whereas Collingwood’s Scott Pendlebury faces uncertainty from a knee/hamstring concern alongside absences like Jamie Elliott. The venue typically favors the Magpies’ tackling pressure and experience, yet the Bulldogs’ home designation and recent contested edge underpin trader consensus on a tight contest.
